"My own fabric! That is a way!"
I said to myself after finishing “Film Mountaineering festival in Teplice nad Metují in 2021”
But how to do it, that I like the fabric and still fit into the concept that resonates with me?
Well….It's probably clear to you that only life itself can write this.
When all the Covid measures finally ended, I already had quite a large belly and I really liked to go to the cafe in Frydek named “Kavalo”.
In addition to the fantastic selection of coffee, there is a family atmosphere which is taken care of by the owners of the café and also by all the great baristas.
One of them is Domi Mertová, which, under the artistic name DomiWildArt, creates uniquely blue pictures and decorations with the soul of the forest and the universe.
Domi and I already knew each other through climbing friends (what a coincidence :))
and as we talked and shared - something more worked between us.
"Domi! Would you paint me a picture and then we'll make a fabric out of it!? I said timidly."
I think that Domi's idea of the realization itself was very elusive, but she just nodded with a smile.
A lot of questions began to pass between us, to which we did not know a single answer, but I felt that when the time was right - it would be!
At the beginning of this year, with the help of the best graphic designer Philipski, we had a base in our hands.
And lets starter!
The first 10m of fabric came out of the press and as soon as I literally bathed in it, it was clear to me at that moment that we would be ordering another print.
An initial collection was created, with approximately 70 products that you can still find in the e-shop.
I am still sewing from this fabric and I still have lots of ideas.
I am happy that this cooperation is something much deeper than just a work relationship.
We share our artistic and personal lives and confirmed each other in who each of us inherently is.
