Who is Kefin and how did it come to be?

Kefin is me – Eva, a girl who grew up in an outdoor and artistic family in Central Bohemia. In high school, I got the nickname Evča Kefča, and it stuck with me ever since.

Since childhood, I have been fully dedicated to various sports—dancing, swimming, climbing, hiking—and I also traveled a lot with my parents, often in a very spontaneous, “punk” way.

Creativity was always a big part of my home. I loved making things, from threading beads and sewing clothes to working with ceramics and woodcarving. I also enjoyed wearing jewelry and coming up with creative outfits.

Moving North & Finding My Passion

In 2016, I settled in Liberec.
I worked as a paramedic in intensive care units while also teaching skiing. What brought me north was my passion for highlining—the royal discipline of slacklining, where the line is suspended high between cliffs.

At that time, I felt very insecure and fragile on the inside, even though it didn’t show on the outside. I seemed like a strong girl who could handle anything, but I didn’t really know who I was. I was still searching.

When walking on a highline, wearing jewelry isn’t very practical. And if you take off your shirt, you can get a beautiful summer tan!
But I struggled with that—I believed my body had too many “imperfections,” and taking off my shirt felt incredibly hard.

A Bra That Feels Like Jewelry

Then I had an idea:
"What if I create a piece of JEWELRY in the form of a durable, stylish, and well-fitting bra—something that catches the eye so no one notices my insecurities?"

And so it began.
The first bra took two days to make.

And what happened next?
I finally found the courage to take off my shirt, and people started asking me,
"Where did you get that? I want one too!"

For the next two years, I searched for the perfect cut and materials, designed creative and functional back systems, and studied different body types to ensure the bras fit real women’s needs.
The first pieces were sewn on the go, literally in the middle of the rocks.

And the journey truly began.

6 Years Later...

Today, I am a happy wife and an active mom living in the Beskydy Mountains.
I still design and sew each Kefin bra myself, constantly improving them based on your feedback.

Kefin bras have become a practical part of everyday life for real women.
They carry a bond that connects us all.
